13 tracks. 13 writers and 13 artists.
We’ve invited 13 writers and 13 visual artists or designers to respond to each of the 13 tracks of one of the 13tracks playlists, and these works together will comprise Issue 1 of the 13tracks magazine.
The magazine will be a physical-only product, available from this website and selected retailers. Pre-orders are now available - go to our Shop here.
The magazine is now in final production stage, and we will be shipping to pre-order customers by 30 May 2025.
In terms of the content, the writing and the art isn’t about the music directly - the contributions are poems, short stories, essays, photographs, paintings, collages, sculpture, anything inspired by the track in the context of the playlist.
What emotions, ideas, or images does the track evoke? Where does the music take the writers and artists? Where does it take you?
This is about how art inspires other art. The visuals and the writing are developed separately but presented alongside each other in the magazine, creating a multi-facteted relationship between the sound, word, and image throughout the playlist.

I’m so excited to be working with such talented contributors on this project, and am already blown away by the work that we’ll be presenting in the first issue.
