Here’s what to do if you’re interested in contributing to Issue 2 of the 13tracks magazine:

  1. Listen to 13tracks edition 18 playlist

  2. Get inspired by one of the tracks

  3. Fill out the form below (please choose the relevant form - there’s one for writing proposals and another for art / photography / design proposals) to tell us what you’d like to do for the magazine

  4. Once your proposal has been accepted, create your writing or art - inspired by, but not about, the music

The Small Print

  • Dates: proposal submissions are open until 31 July 2025, with final work to be submitted by 31 August 2025, for publication in November 2025.

  • I hope that contributors to prior issues will participate in shaping future issues through helping with the assessment of proposal submissions.

  • Submissions must be previously unpublished work, and you must hold all rights necessary to approve publishing of the work.

  • Please don’t use generative AI. That’s against the whole point of this endeavour.

  • Any profit (after covering printing and distribution costs) of a particular print edition of the magazine within the first twelve months following publication will be split equally between all contributors to that print edition (the editor will receive an equal profit share as well).

  • For writers, no minimum wordcount, but a maximum of 8000 words.

  • For artists, images should be TIFF or JPEG files of at least 300 ppi.
