The second issue of 13tracks is here. Built around a single curated playlist — thirteen tracks chosen to sit together, to move between moods and decades, from Thurston Moore to The Beatles, Anderson .Paak to Mogwai, Tame Impala to Serge Gainsbourg.

Each track drew a response from a writer and a visual artist — contributors who chose the tracks that resonated with them. Their responses take different forms: stories, images, fragments — not illustrations of the music, but something that shares its feeling. Thirteen tracks. Thirteen writers. Thirteen visual artists.

You can follow the playlist in sequence or wander through it freely. Listen while you read, or come back to the music later. There's no right way in.

This is slow reading for people who listen carefully.
